PERMANENT RESIDENCE

It is the permit to reside indefinitely in Chile and authorizes the development of any lawful activity. As a rule, you must have twenty-four months of temporary residence to apply for permanent residence, but this period can be twelve months if you have family ties with Chileans or permanent residents, have income, pensions, executed investments and/or companies that prove effective operation in Chile or have contributed to the social, cultural, artistic, scientific and/or sports fields, among others.
It is granted to temporary residence holders whose residence authorizes it (does not authorize, for example, residence for medical treatment)
